This song is about struggling with sin... but the worst kind of struggle: realizing that you don't care. It's about realizing that you have a calloused heart and begging God to mess you up. Hence the chorus: "God help my sin to feel like sin." I don't just want to feel guilty... I want to be repulsed by the smell of sin.
I didn't want to pull this card, but freaking Trenton Wheeler of Seryn is on this track. He really is in the choir! Star-power! I don't know if I was supposed to say that. (Also, he's on "Trees." If you turn up the volume at the end of Songs Start With You, you can hear me whisper "We're recording!" to Trenton to get him to stop playing with this ratchet, screwdriver thing.)
