about

Well, the title says it all, doesn't it? Actually, it doesn't. Okay, I'll break it down:
- With teaching, was expecting Dead Poet's Society, but it wasn't always like that...
- With my friends... I don't know, the song was written in this weird time. I felt distant from just about everyone. It's a "two-way street" though.
-With my music, I don't know... I was hoping things would catch on more than they had. I shouldn't complain though: I've played shows with some of my favorite artists. It's just greed. The main thing that troubles me is that I put all this work into the lyrics... it seemed like no one could notice the subtleties of the lyrics, the motifs, etc... because most people just talk over you at shows anyway. It seems that way at least.
-With Denton in general, I was starting to merely like the city. I've always loved Denton a lot, but in the pessimistic mindset, I was feeling jaded. You know?

The song talks about how "reminiscing too much" is dangerous. It's a direct reference back to Ecc. 7:10 (The last song.) But at the same time, being completely jaded with everything around you is "just as dangerous."
